I cannot deny it any longer and I think it's high time I own up to it. It all started by sneaking around late at night on the i
nternet looking at hex photos. After a while, it wasn't doing much for me anymore . I needed the real thing. What's a girl to do? I checked out Christina's
tutorial , via Ashley's
post , I cut a bunch of strips of fabric and downloaded some of
these. One thing led to another and I had a flower.... 0r 30...

I keep asking myself why I didn't choose a larger hexagon but there is no turning back now. I am in love... at least it feels like love. I stack them up and spread them out just to look at them. I count and recount them just as a 5 year-old would dollar bills at a lemonade stand. Yes, my friends.....I am an addict.

We can start a support group if you like!!
What will you do with them??
He he he, too funny! These look great!
What a lovely pile of hex flowers! I love them! I have been wanting to try making these, but haven't found the "right" moment. I will definitely take advantage of the tutorial and hexagon paper you shared!
I saw these last week on someone else's blog and was fascinated by them! Thanks for sharing the links. Can't wait to see what they'll become :)
LOL... you are cracking me up!!! It's like you just shared a dirty little secret!! LOL...
your hexies are fab and i can't wait to see what you do with them!! ;)

I think the hex addiction has hit the quilt world with a vengeance....it's like our version of crack! We will all end up in a room together sharing stories of our hex making days and all the dirty dishes, laundry and house work that never got done because we are too busy making more!!
Can't wait to see them all put together!
heehee - I haven't drank this koolaid yet! Looks like you fall in deep when you do.
They look great, but I'm not going to look at them too long. I may succumb.
You've been busy and it's looking fabulous! Funny tho---I've been dreaming of hexes as I need another hand project to travel with. I think you've inspired me to make the plunge!
Heehee I've put hexes on my to-do list but I'm saving them for when I have to take a long trip and won't have my sewing machine with me.
these are stunning!!! i love them
I believe all of us that sew have one type of addiction or another! Those are really cool; can't wait to see what you make with them.
XOXO,
Cyndi
It's an addiction you can go public with and then get messages of encouragement from people like me; because, they're very cool looking.
I share your addiction... don't worry, I hear it is fairly common!
I love the flowers and your fabric choices!
Jennifer :)
These are so adorable! The Hope Valley line is perfect for the vintage feel of these.
The finished product is going to be stunning!
Oooh, these are lovely!
They immediately made me think of the hex flower quilt my MIL's grandmother made her. We use it on my daughter's bed. You can see it here,
