I've been staring at my fat quarter bundle of Anna Maria
Horner's Garden Party for ages. I do have a large project in mind for it. However, the print with the concentric squares in it just begged to be "fussy cut" and used on it's own. This is what I came up with... I used it as the center for my log cabins and drew my color
palette from the print. I quilted it in free form, vertical waves...

I used a solid BRIGHT orange
kona for the back and bound it in the olive (go figure) and added a little patch of brown for fun!

I love it! I love a pop of color amongst a sea of solid fabric :-)
Well done!
Oh I love this! I think I will go make something!! Thanks for the inspiration.
Definitely fun! I love that collection, and love that you did something different with it!
It's gorgeous!! I love the blocks lined on one side like that, and the colors are spectacular.
LOVE.IT! What a great way to use that center fabric. I love the colors you pieced around the center square. I love the off-kilter with white. And I love the combo of green binding with the orange backing.
Great color! Simple but striking, nice job :)

this is gorgeous! I love the bright colors and the contrast with the background. I am always so inspired by your projects
I'ma first-time visitor to your blog -- I love your quilts. Your fabric selections are perfect.
I have just discovered your blog and love it! your quilts are amazing with such wonderful choices in fabric-this one inspires me to one day make my own.
Look at that design of the curvy stitches on the back. I love the whole thing especially the log cabin blocks. Anything patchwork related is my favorite! And the orange is a surprise for sure. Soooo when are YOU going to teach a quilting class there? Or put tutorials here on the blog? You could you know:)
da bomb, baby. i love your work.
