lucky, lucky.

{made by Lucky Jackson}

A couple of  weeks ago, one of my oldest and dearest friends got married. The wedding was up near Traverse City, Michigan at at the beautiful, Cherry Basket Farm. If you haven't been to Northern Michigan, definitely keep it on your short list of summer vacations spots. If you're in Traverse City, check out The Cook's House restaurant, an establishment owned an operated by an old friend of mine, which was recently named by Mario Batali as one of his 9 favorite places to dine, in the WORLD! It's just not summer to me without a trip to Northern Michigan.

Anyway, I had this piece commissioned by the uber-talented Lucky Jackson, a gift for my friends' wedding. She has such a great eye for fabric, color and exquisite attention to detail! She often,if not always, uses vintage fabrics in her pieces and y'all know how I appreciate vintage fabric. I originally came across Lucky's work in my Flickr group, Handmade With Vintage Fabric. So glad I did! This is such a unique gift, perfect for weddings, baby showers or birthdays. Lucky was a dream to work with. All she needs is a photograph and a little background on your style... and you've got yourself the coolest present ever.

Thanks for stopping,
erica

  1. Is the photograph part fabric or paper? It looks cool! I love this idea
