These look perfest for embroidery! I have quite a few nerd references I want to stitsch for my husband. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThe first thing that came to my mind was the same as Katrin above. Embroidery. I think some of this fabric, some perle cotton and a zipper and you could have a perfect pouch.
ReplyDeleteA soft baby quilt would be cute in those fabrics.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking it would be cute to make teacher gifts with that. Some sort of a bag or pouch with "Thanks" written in my daughter's preschool scrawl? Cute, cute, cute!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely embroider a saying on them. My sister is having a baby, it'd be sweet to embroider his name and birth info on it and attach it to the baby quilt I'm working on!
ReplyDeleteI just started pulling fabrics for a quilt for wounded warrior, I could use the lined fabric to embroider a thank you and the gingham in the main patterm!
ReplyDeleteOh dear, I don't know! I could embroider names on the lines and use it for gifts of some sort...it's adorable.
ReplyDeleteI would use them both (one front, one back) to make a kickass Wiksten tank! :)
ReplyDeletei really love this fabric you are giving away. it seems perfect for back to school items like a lunch tote or a book bag. I'd definitely use it for my daughter because she loves simple patterns.
ReplyDeletePersonalized name wall decorations?? So many possibilities!
ReplyDeleteI am now doing small items since I am planning to become part of craft fairs. I think most likely it will become a journal cover. It reminds me of school.
ReplyDeleteI'm a teacher a math/chem teacher so this fabric is my life. I. Must. Have. Some. I think the graph would have to show an ECG or some such to give a friend who has had heart issues (of the love, not medical kind). I would like to embroider a poem to place in the centre of a scrappy log cabin for each of my four kids and one for their dad--my love. Maybe something on the chemistry of love..he's a science teacher too.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Katrin, I think this would be perfect for embroidery, which I am learning right now. I already follow your blog and love it, thanks Erica!
ReplyDeleteThis fabric is great, I love the aqua color. I think I would make a baby quilt.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to steal Katrin's idea and plan to use this fabric for embroidery - maybe then turning it into a bag or laptop case?
ReplyDeleteSarah

ReplyDeletejenn.barclay@gmail.com
The dotted line print would need me to do some applique on it for quilt blocks. The grid could bind it.
ReplyDeleteOh I love that fabric -- I use graph paper in my art journal a lot, so I think I would do a small art quilt!
ReplyDeleteI think they would make a great skirt for a little girl.
ReplyDeleteI would make something for my daughter. Maybe a skirt?
ReplyDeleteI love all the embroidery suggestions! Since that' sa hobby I haven't taken up (yet!), I'd probably use it as a coordinating fabric in a quilt. :) Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteI have been wanting some of that dash fabric forever, but can't find it anywhere. I wanted to do little embroidery pieces copied from my children's handwriting on a quilt. Hope I win it!! This is my favorite give away so far!

ReplyDeletemmm i love this fabric!

I love the sweet and the calming effect of the aqua dotted lines and little square lines against the fair background. Great for accessories in a bedroom; such as a ruffled pillow case, one of the photo frames and a soft toy shaped like a fish.
ReplyDeleteI think both fabrics would make great bag linings, as they are nice and light, which helps see where things are, but they have lots of interest too so they aren't dull.

ReplyDeleteThey look like they would make perfect linings for zipper pouches. I love the look of that color blue against natural linen.
ReplyDeleteIt'd be fun to use the checks to make shorts for my son and the stripe to make a shirt to match-I think a half yard would be enough (might have to add some solid white or blue to go with it-but it might be enough!)
ReplyDeleteI've never seen these before and love them - they look like great prints that could work in a lot of quilts. I love the one that looks just like graph paper!
ReplyDeleteJulia @ Stars&Sunshine
starsandsunshineblog at gmail dot com
