The Batik I used is from Africa and was brought back by a woman I knew a few years ago.

I made a new set of coasters. I like 'em.

i shouldn't have.

but i did... I am in love with Amy Butler's new line daisy chain! She is a prolific designer. The bottom two fabrics looked like feedsack to me and I thought would be cute in a quilt. I struggle with orange fabric. I love orange for the bright, cheeriness it lends to a project, but I rarely find oranges that are not too pale or alternatively, look like hunters orange! I found a gem in this one.

I also picked up Amy Butler's relatively new sewing book, little stitches for little ones. Sooooo many sweet projects in there, and the photographs are super colorful, I am so inspired.
